  1. Scientists in the 50's: let's create a machine that will clean clothes on its own.
2 seconds later after creating it dang! We forgot how we made it, shame that it will take us another 70 years to figure it out.

  2. It took scientist to tell us, you need clean water, motion, and detergent to make a washing machine work. Pay me the same rate I’ll tell you more lol

  3. I don't trust anything SciShow brings anymore ever since they made a 45 minutes video about things like menstruation and pregnancy, end then going out of their way to never ever mention words like 'woman' 'women' 'mother' 'pregnant' and 'female' and so on, replacing them with 'them' 'the other half' 'half of us' and even 'host' instaid of 'pregnant woman'.

    Woke madness, not science.

  4. Oh good, now we don't have to worry about washing machines breaking physics. Once again science is saved from common kitchen appliances, take THAT ovens!

  5. The animation seems different to the script: 1:12 Aren't the hydrophobic tails meant to attach to the dirt, not the hydrophilic heads? 1:20 Surely the dirt doesn't move along the molecules, the tails pop back in to the centre?

3:45 It also goes by sodium yanny sulphate 🙂

What about washing for removing bacteria/viruses?

  6. It sounds like maybe our washing machines would be better if they run a wash rinse cycle two or three times instead of just once. So, put the detergent in a holder, like at the laundromat, and then it goes quickly through a mixing, agitation, and rinse cycle multiple times.

  7. Lmfao people nowadays are so damn stupid they say it wasn't known how but yet it was and was already invented long ago only catch is most people dismissed the known knowledge just as they have with many other things we as humans are getting dumb as we start to learn more about because we can't comprehend the fact that we're subconsciously on a small slow scale of evolution that we tend to forget along of stuff and we wonder how or why and sometimes learn new things that can either further in proving or disprove either way the knowledge is out there its just so few with the access can't really share the information in a way that everyone can actually understand
