That was excellent! It answered all my questions. Just the thing to watch before clicking "buy."

Armour ATD = Junk, junk, junk. It fell just once from my hands, inside the house after 6 months of use. That's all it took for it to break. "3 layers of shock resistance?" –> boloney. "With the Armour ATD, though, the thought of needing an added protection never even crossed my mind?" -> boloney. Right after it fell, I thought: good thing I bought an Armour fall-resistant hard drive. Maybe if Armour invested more in technology and less in marketing, we'd have a worthy product. Until then, it's more fragile than my 2 cheap WD products – they're still ticking. What do I need 1000 lbs of crash resistance if it can't even withstand falling from my hands?

disappointing. well presented but nothing on the issues we might face like it not showing up on the Mac . My cheaper G drive showed up immediately but not this one. I watched your video in hope of some clues not to be sold the item when I already own it and wondering if I have made a mistake

I have just recently bought 2 of these. Cannot get either of them to show up on my 2019 macbook pro at all. And Disk Utility doesn't see it either. Useless.

Don’t buy this product. It doesn’t work right. If you disconnect it for accident it will dismounted.

Thanks for this review! They are available up to and including 5 TB now 🙂 and on sale today 🙂 I LOVE them… when I have to travel and give presentations, these are my drives. Thanks for validating what I've already thought about them. I'm one of those who watches vids about gear I already have just to see if something better is coming along. THumbs UP!

USB-C is not a transfer rate, it's only the connection type. So to say it's compatible with USB-C, USB 3.1, and Thunderbolt is incorrect, they don't fall in the same categories. The drive supports USB 3.1 and Thunderbolt 3, has a USB-C connection and comes with a USB A adapter.

You did not review the Thunderbolt speeds even though you're using a Mac. It's 2019, it's mac OS and not OS X.
